The Giants earned a hard-fought 12–7 victory over the Tennessee Titans, improving to 2–1. New York never reached the end zone, with kicker Dominic Zvada providing all 12 points through four field goals.
The finish was anything but comfortable. Tennessee threatened to steal the game before Jevón Holland intercepted Cam Ward near the goal line with 17 seconds remaining. That takeaway finally allowed Giants fans to breathe.
My takeaway is that this was a valuable win, even if it was not an exciting offensive performance. Teams need to survive difficult afternoons when conditions and execution are working against them. However, the Giants should treat the result as something to build on. Asking the defence to rescue every close game is a dangerous habit.
