A win counts the same regardless of how it happens, but the Giants’ offence still deserves scrutiny after Week 3. New York beat Tennessee 12–7 despite producing only 238 total yards and no touchdowns.
My concern is the lack of breathing room that comes with relying on field goals. Four successful kicks produced 12 points. An opponent can exceed that with two touchdowns and successful extra points.
The answer should not be forcing deep passes or taking unnecessary risks. I would like to see a passing plan built around manageable completions, supported by runs that keep third downs short.
The defence gave the Giants enough room to survive this week. The next challenge is building an offence that can give something back by finishing drives and creating a meaningful lead.
