After Week 7: What the Giants Should Focus on During the Bye

The Giants enter their Week 8 bye at 4–2–1. When they return, they face Philadelphia on the road before hosting Washington on Thursday night, making the next two games especially important within the division.

My first priority for the break would be offensive consistency. The coaching staff should identify which plays give the team dependable gains and which repeatedly create difficult situations.

Second, I would spend time on situational football: protecting possession, managing the clock, and finishing drives. Those details become particularly important when a game remains close.

Finally, the team needs to use the break to recover physically and prepare for the short turnaround between divisional matchups.

There is reason for optimism, but the record is only a starting point. The Giants’ next challenge is turning encouraging results into a more reliable weekly performance.
